It’s ironic that for someone called Benedict, he always kind of blows it by saying something that he shouldn’t, or by saying it in a way that he shouldn’t have. Poor thing.

***VERY IMPORTANT NOTE***
The reason celebrating so called Christmas is blasphemy is that the Christians on this occasion, lie about Jesus and they lie about Allaah.
They say that Jesus is the son of Allaah. This is clearly blasphemy. Allaah has No son. This is from the Qur'an Surah 113 Al Ikhlas : "Lam yalid walam yulad" which means : "He begetteth not, nor is he begotten"
They say that Jesus is a Christian, this is Not true. Jesus is a prophet of Allah and he is a muslim. Whoever claims that a Prophet is a non-muslim , blasphemes.
And so, whoever supports the non-muslim in those statements in ANY WAY has blasphemed. And whoever denies this rule blasphemes as well. Even if the intention was not there, the moment one says " Merry christmas" (without it being a slip of the tongue and knowing what the socalled christmas is), one falls into blasphemy. Whether an issue is blaphemy or not, does not depend on one's opinion. One has no right to say : "this issue is not blasphemy because this is my opinion ". If according to the religion of Islam, the ruling concerning an issue IS blasphemy, then it IS blasphemy.
Abù Daawùd and others (Hadith) narrated that the Prophet, Salla l-Laahu ^alayhi wa sallam said :
مَنْ تَشَبَّهَ بِقَوْمٍ فَهُوَ مِنْهُمْ
man ta-shabbaha bi qawmin fa huwa minhum,
Which literally means: "Whoever imitates other people then he is one of them." i.e. if he imitates the non-Muslims in something that is specific for them, then if this thing is an enormous sin then he is committing an enormous sin, and if it is kufr (blasphemy) then he is committing kufr.
Respecting a religion other than Islam means that one is accepting that Allaah is not the only God, and this, even if you say you had no intention of doing this (falling into blasphemy), it is blasphemy.
This is in no way an action of compassion or peace and love. If a person committed a crime, for e.g raping a baby, and claimed that his religion asked him to do this, would you congratulate him and say : "I'm being compassionate about his religion"? I don't think so. Because it is an enormous sin.
Well blasphemy is worse than than this, and it's punishment for the one who dies in that state is hellfire for eternity. How can someone say that he is being compassionate when he knows that this non-muslim is practicing something which is going to send him in hellfire? Where is the peace and love in this?

Lanat is Urdu word for "curse" or "damnation". Roughly translated
Ahh ok, I get it, thanks a lot! “lanat of hypocrisy” bien dicho (well said.)
The slogan for this year's AICP Mawlids is "The Light of this World is The Guidance of Muhammad," Sallallaahu ^alayhi wa sallam!
