A barely audible growl escaped the dark-skinned woman’s lips. Her braids covered her face while she looked at the t.v. with a bored expression on her face. Volskaya Industries had a rather horrible incident. Oh boy, she grunted and held up her hand to the bartender who looked at her.
“Another Jack Daniels please.” Ammit told the bartender. He nodded and went to get her drink. Yep, here she was trying to get wasted and she couldn’t even get that right. Perhaps, if she tricked herself enough she would be able to achieve a blissful high that would make her settle down. Ammit lifted her head briefly when the drink came and took a quick sip. Her eyes closed. Her sharp nails tapped against the bar counter and released another sigh.
She felt slightly on edge. Why? She just didn’t know. A mixture of total futility and anxiety that bottled up in the pit of her stomach. She started to wonder if she actually needed to go out and hunt. But where in Los Angeles could she do that? The place was too big of a city. She had to probably really consider moving up north.
"Did your heat just start?"
“Y-yes.”
He glared up at the other, wrapped in a blanket.
“Don’t look at me like that! I don’t wanna do anything!” He snapped, covering his head with the blanket, curling up...
“I hate this... Also I need your jacket, Antonio. After that get out.”

Despite herself, she gives a chuckle at his offense. “Oh, but they are better in every single way. French fries? Not even French. Tater tots are pure and wholesome, and lets face it, obviously superior to your lying sticks.” Cue her popping another golden tot in her mouth.
Confession: ur gay. I'm gay. You're awesome. I'm awesome. You're rios. I'm Salem.
Confessions
Ha, thanks man! You’re right -- you are awesome, and don’t let anyone tell you any different. Iirc I actually played Rios more when @niyantran and I played Army of Two, so you’d be right on that account, too.
But YEAH THANKS DUDE! SMOOCH.
What was wearing her armor for the first time like?
Headcannon Time! || ALWAYS ACCEPTING
Raptora Mark Three: (Security Chief)
It made her feel like a super hero, or at least several steps forward to becoming one. The weight wasn’t even throughout the suit, and the old analog systems were clunky at best. However the training they had gotten before this moment was solid, now they just had to fly.
She had been the one to find the faults in the suit when it came to flying just a little too high that day.
Raptora Mark Four:
They probably should have done a little bit more testing with the powered assist system before they let her try out the suit. It was a bloody mess, thankful that it was her arm and not her spine.
Raptora Mark Five:
The smile on her face was no different from the days long ago when she got to visit the old Overwatch Base. This was it, this was her suit, this is what could make her the hero she wanted to be. She felt like Ironman herself as she tore through the sky and the training course.
But Helix wanted more, another suit, one where they can use it and Fareeha for recruitment propaganda. Mark Fives would eventually go into mass production, but they wanted to give Amari something more. They knew, she was going to be their Captain Amari.
Raptora Mark Six; (Classic Skin)
She knew, that once she put this on for the first time, she was going to be the new face of Helix’s Raptora Program. She was hesitant at first but one she had the falcon helm upon her head and the wings reacting to her like they have been part of her for all her life.
She was home.

Overwatch has eyes all over the planet. On every continent, in every major port, there’s bound to be something with their logo on it -- ships, billboards, entire sprawling industrial complexes.
At least, it was. It did. The infamy it gained after its fall, it became ominous. Diseased. Passersby look at the logo and spit.
The world is not kind to heroes.
Whoever initiated the Recall either had death wish, or there was something happening, something big, and no one was talking. All the same were involved -- Tracer, McCree, Reinhardt...but it brought along others, too. Good intentions mixed with bad blood. .
From his position inside the abandoned apartment, Jack can see the guards do their patrols along the outside of the remnants of an Overwatch base in El Paso. These weren’t regular Overwatch agents -- they were of a different breed. Soldiers, yes, but something tells him there’s no good intentions here. Mercenaries rarely have them. He would know.
The brutal Texas heat manages to penetrate the shade of the apartment. Jack feels the sweat run down his neck as he shifts to alleviate some of the pressure on his elbows. He’s been laying like this for hours, studying their patterns, trying to find their motives. So far, he hasn’t found any.
They’re about to talk.
Jack turns on his visor, honing in on a patrol walking along the overpass. He turns on his alternate fire, the helix rockets clicking into place, before firing them at the supports. The metal groans as it gives way, leaving the patrol to fall to the lower level and scramble to their feet in various stages of disorientation. Profanities are shouted and orders are given just as Jack fires again, time time at the windows. The shattering glass accompanies the shrieking of the alarms.
Jack pulls himself up and makes his way to the outskirts of the base, blending into shadows and building.
Time to get some answers.
"I can't do this anymore...."
“Please don’t give up on me, chéri.” Amelie begged, standing in the doorway. Rain fell in buckets behind the pair, hitting the roof mercilessly. Thunder roared across the sky paired with all-illuminating lightning.
“Please come back inside.” Amelie opened the door wider and extended her hand to him.
“I can’t be good without you.”
