this has to be one of the bigger ‘projects’ i’ve worked on. one of the longer ones too.
was made for my aunt’s 60th earlier this year and i’m sorry happy to know that she adored the card so much she actually called up the second she recieved it!

a couple of my most recently made cards.
both ones that i am incredibly happy with. a minimalistic design, and something more cluttered, but works well to fill a small space and form something memorable.
everyone goes through moments where they stick to a certain style and for a short while this was mine. some bigger birthday cards that i made for people were in a style of having a little polaroid picture on them.
things like this happen when i’ve got no base to go on in ways of general design but they were personal gifts so i was the client :p and i’m still happy with how they turned out.
My lucky 4 of clovers!

weddings. lots of small cards to disperse images... or one big card? people say spread the images across cards in case one fails. others say taking cards in and out is what causes cards to fail and more likely to lose a card then have one fail... thoughts?
The wisdom you need has been around for centuries...
Don't put all your eggs in one basket.
I always go the lots of smaller cards route. I mainly use 8 gig and smaller cards. Format them all before the wedding day. NEVER format on site or download to drive and dump the card. Don't delete those cards until the images are in two or three locations on other drives.
If you have half the wedding day on a big card and that thing goes south... You're screwed. Or if you lose it! Ahhhh! That's another thing. All cards stay on my person at all times until they are downloaded. Kind of like a briefcase handcuffed to your wrist. They will be locked in a drawer in my bedroom if I have to go to bed before downloading them. They will never be away from me until they are downloaded and backed up.
Yeah. Spread your eggs around. Ewww. Gross. :)
