tried a slightly different technique with this but i’m really happy with how it turned out as i look back on it.

try different things, see where it goes, you’ll often find you enjoy what you do!

finally got my copy of this book recently and wanted to paint something inspired by it

haven’t painted something like this since i was in school. had fun going back to those roots and definitely plan on doing more in future!

was my cousin’s 21st just recently and i wanted to make something really special for them. hope they love it as i wasn’t able to get their reaction on the day of gifting it to them!! ^^

long overdue but merry christmas and happy new year!!! hoping that this year is much brighter than the last -even if that is just in terms of people’s mentality!!

while i have done things like this before and wish to do more in the future, this definitely felt out of my comfort zone. my brother loving yugioh and it being his birthday meant i was willing to take that step and well, this is the result: a personal yugioh (birthday) card!

this has to be one of the bigger ‘projects’ i’ve worked on. one of the longer ones too.

was made for my aunt’s 60th earlier this year and i’m sorry happy to know that she adored the card so much she actually called up the second she recieved it!

both ones that i am incredibly happy with. a minimalistic design, and something more cluttered, but works well to fill a small space and form something memorable.

also trialing out making earrings out of some small misc watercolour objects.

everyone goes through moments where they stick to a certain style and for a short while this was mine. some bigger birthday cards that i made for people were in a style of having a little polaroid picture on them.

things like this happen when i’ve got no base to go on in ways of general design but they were personal gifts so i was the client :p and i’m still happy with how they turned out.

a handful of small birthday cards i’ve made for friends and family back 2018-2019.

i went through different styles for different people, but also as i wanted to trail different things, different styles. i’m still quite happy with how many of these turned out.

my personal favourite has to be the “key card” i made for a 21st. i think it was the first time i was actually content with what i’d made.
