Saber toothed tiger- while not actually related to tigers or really any living cat species was an incredibly successful predator. Preying on North American mega fauna it was a large felid that functioned more closely to a bear using it's large size to overpower it's prey and finishing then of with it's signature 'saber' canine teeth. There is also evidence that they hunted in packs like wolves and completely unlike cats who are a solitary hunter
