A chance encounter with two older fellows at the movie theatre has the young adventurer Ligie on his way to Lot-8, a part of his trailer park with an unconventional local reputation. There, Ligie meets Big Joe and his extended Lot-8 family: a loose-knit community of queers and interracial couples all sectioned together by the landlord at the outskirts of town.
I got this as a blind-date-with-a-book and when the covering had said it was very explicit I didn’t really believe it? But then I read the book and oh boy, it is not something you should read at work. Every page has some form of the phrase “cocksucker”, and interspersed are some beautiful explicit artworks. A short read, I stayed up until 2am reading this and found it erotic and it felt almost like a gay utopia. Yes, there are characters I didn’t like as much (like the landlord), but everyone is sucking and fucking and it’s kinda beautiful. I enjoyed it.
