the lighting and character models and the way the light interacts with skin are all so good i literally cannot😭😭😭😭 genuinely my jaw dropped at the quality of the lighting
most of my time spent in cyberpunk was with rasterized lighting - that’s what I think of and remember when I think of playing this game; that’s what I’m used to. I am blown away every single I time I load the game with path tracing on. it’s insane that games can look this good!!!!!

Mods used for graphics with DLSS preset E and 4k resolution:
REFramework's hybrid path tracing, 4spp, 1 bounce and occasional 2 bounce
Unofficial Texture Patch because apparently there was an error with where some high-res textures were
Better Shadow Filtering to smooth out shadow edges which adds to the environment, I keep setting around 2-3 to reduce flicker but has the risk of diffusing shadows too much
Graphics Suite which is no longer available for improved subsurface scattering, better clouds, and contact shadows
FX remover to take out the post processing filter and the vignette, then slapping Reshade on top (Clean Light for SDR | Better HDR for HDR)
Quality Water and RELit are there but I haven't utilized them much, still have to learn RELit
Was using the Lua Freecam mod but had too much stick drift from lack of deadzone on my controller, now using Otis' Camera mod for DD2 (locked behind his patreon) which has improved camera control for controllers, however now testing out Otis' DOF tool on Reshade against vanilla DOF

I hadn't realized until the last post I reblogged, that the Graphics suite had been folded into the newest REframework. I was still using an older build.
Path tracing kinda messes a bit with your graphics until you reboot the game, which is why I had uninstalled the graphics suite a few months back. But now that it's part of REframework I peeked at it again, and gosh darn it looks so good.
Like, the base game already looks awesome, but holy hell! Once you've seen a scene with path tracing enabled, it totally blows your mind.
