Big-Bert, lvl 4
The very last phase of putting down chunks of base colours and defining the shapes, as I'd call it. All there's left is polishing with fine details.
But, we now have the issue of his left (the one that goes towards the sky) arm being too small. Mayhaps I just need to portray the perspective and shadows better ?!
*sigh*
I hate, hate, hate corrections.
Original version below:
Gilbert poses and salutes the emperor after he catapulted the man into afterlife
(a barely visible giant sketch, but it is there)
... This epic saga will continue...
#big-bert
Big Bert update :)
Approx 1.5m x 2m canvas is being covered with acrylic paint in layers. This is only layer #1.
It is supposed to be the Resurrection of Jesus, commissioned by the church, but it's actually Gilbert posing as merrily saluting his own dad after having catapulted the said dad into afterlife!
Pssst, don't tell anyone 🤫
Big-Bert and things that need to be fixed
- robes
- hand
Big-Bert update today - the delayed lvl 3, although I just finished lvl 4.
I suppose that lvl 5 will be the actual details of the painting's parts (mostly the figure and the stones)
And lvl 6 will be reserved for the golden halo and the silhouette of a tiny town in the background, and a couple of olive tree branches in the front
Big-Bert, lvl 3
Yeah, yeah, I added little stones, changed the background, and started shading. I feel like I wanted to ramble a bit more here, but I simply forgot what it was about
- acrylics on a monster canvas (approx. 2m x 1.5 m), commissioned
