Big Active
Big Active is a design agency based in London and are a D&AD award winning agency. The agency focuses on art direction, graphic design and content production. Big Active also represents artists and showcase their work and contribution to the agency on their website.
I found the agency as part of the of a mini brief for a module at University. We were asked to research specific agencies to become aware of current well-known agencies in graphic design.
Big Active is my current favourite design agency because they’re bold and bright which gains my attention and the causes they do work for are effective.
Here are some of the other reasons why I follow Big Active:
Vibrancy- Big Active’s work is loud, colourful and vibrant which is eye catching and engaging. The cover art for singles for artists such as Galantis and Basement Jaxx are bright and original and unlike anything I’ve seen before.
Freshness- Big Active’s presentation and appearance is fresh and different. The work produced is quirky and original.
Here is a mood board I created as part of research about the agency. My favourite project by Big Active so far is the Gun Prevention exhibition ‘Innocent Targets’ by Anthony Burrill. I like the sensitivity associated with the pieces and how ‘real’ they are.
