Chevrolet 409 Turbo-Fire V8

This is a Chevrolet 409 Turbo-Fire V8, a legendary engine from the early 1960s. It was introduced in 1961 as part of the Chevy W-series big-block engines and quickly gained fame in muscle cars and drag racing. The 409 cubic-inch (6.7L) displacement and high-performance 425 HP version made it one of the most powerful engines of its time.

Featuring dual four-barrel carburetors and chrome valve covers, this engine was a favorite in cars like the Chevrolet Impala SS, Bel Air, and Biscayne. The 409 became an icon, immortalized in the Beach Boys' song "409", symbolizing the early days of the American muscle car era.v
