personally, nonreligious people have consistently failed to write religious gay people without fetishizing (which straight atheists do) or dismissing (LGBT+ atheists, from my experiences) the suffering we face due to pressure from both sides to conformand the strides we take into making sure that we and people like us are accepted in our various communities (including establishing our own) so seeing shit like that in fanfiction where our suffering is put in such a porny gaze just…………… It’s Bad Scoobs
