Biliteracy
Honestly writing as a biliterate writer is so weird. When I’m digging through my brain for vocab I end up with a few words from my other language that carry what feels like the perfect vibes that I want, so I translate them and use that word, but then after I post it I look at my writing again and realise that the translated word just doesn’t carry the same connotations as it does in my other language. But it does for me. But it doesn’t for my readers. It’s so fucking weird. Or is it just me?
