a year later and I am still not over the fact that this history-making event in lgbt media & television only happened at the expense of the death (and villain-ization) of supernatural’s most revolutionary character of color.

billie’s resurrection as the “new Death” in season 13 was a major victory after years of POC & women being killed to further the winchesters’ arcs. not only were they alive again, but they were in charge and more powerful than ever --- and more sympathetic too. only three years later, that growth and progress was thrown out the window once again.

while I can talk about how it should’ve gone all day, I thought it’d be more uplifting to commemorate the anniversary of billie’s permadeath (+ the anniversary of their resurrection episode on 11/9) by taking a moment to remember and celebrate them during all this november 5th weekend chaos.
