hi everyone. i have some bad news.
i am facing a cloudflare bill of SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. that is not a hyperbole or a joke.
cloudflare charges per gb for a service that improves load times for people not in the us. this service has been on since floralith existed, and was relatively affordable. however, as the site blew up, even in the last 2-3 days, the cost SKYROCKETED and i was not aware of it until i received an invoice. i have disabled this service, and opened a support case asking cf to waive or reduce this invoice.
i am at a loss, i do not have anywhere close to $7,000 dollars. i started this as a fun project to make emulation accessible, and it blew up way beyond the scope. 100+TB of bandwidth (up to like 250 now) is a crazy number. 150K site visits. 800,000 downloads. its insanity.
if my provider is not willing to waive or HEAVILY reduce this fee, the site is dead. i may have to shut it down within 7-10 days of this post. possibly sooner.
