I have a headcanon that one night while Rose was partying, a guy was getting too hands-y and didn't seem to know what "No!" meant, and she was rescued by a cute girl named Bill who pretended to be her girlfriend to get her out of a sticky situation 😍

this is adorable, nonny! and i can absolutely see it—bill would be completely cool and collected in the face of his indignation, just looking back at him, totally unimpressed.

and then she'd loop her arm through rose's and walk off, asking if she's okay once they're a safe distance away. and then rose would thank her and ask if she could buy her a drink.

okay i have been sitting vaguely on a billrose concept for AGES & it makes no sense with the timeline or location but never mind: nine blows up henriks on rose's day off so she never meets him, gets a job in a university canteen while she's deciding what to do next, and is trained on the specifics by bill potts.... :) (is it the uni where martha is doing her medicine degree? who could say)

okay, i just now saw this and... this concept is so absolutely stellar, i love it so much!!! your mind!!!

it starts with exchanging Looks™ when some guy comes up and demands fresh chips "because these chips aren't fresh!! i can tell!!" and they both just roll their eyes—staying late and cleaning up together just to get an extra minute to talk, hips bumping while they wipe down the counters—going out for drinks sometime, and rose introducing bill to her friends shareen and mickey as "my girlfriend" and bill holding her hand under the table, because rose is trying to be brave—both of them sneaking martha extra chips because she's so nice when nobody else gives them the time of day—rose holding bill's hand as bill talks about her mother—bill holding rose's hand as rose talks about her father—finding the adventure and the joy in the mundanity of life, in passing each day with someone who makes you laugh—rose wiping a smudge of milkshake off of bill's chin and leaning in for a kiss—please stop me, i am going to cry
