・First of all, AND I KNOW HEIGHT IS EVERYTHING! But this man is SIX FOOT FIVE.
・As a person, Billy is loyal to a fault, unshakably strong, and fiercely protective. Especially over the people he cares about - and you are the person he cares for most.
・Being married to Billy isn't exactly ... traditional. It isn't a gentle life; it's raw, confronting, and filled with stolen romance inbetween chaos.
・And yet, underneath the weight of war and duty, there is an abundance of love. Devotion so real and raw that it makes your heart break. Your bond is so strong that nothing, not even a storm on the seas could break it.
・Billy is an early bird, always has been, no matter how much sleep he may get. While he tries to be quiet as he gets dressed, he ALWAYS checks on you before leaving.
・If you're awake, he presses a slow, lingering kiss to your forehead. Savouring the moment for a few seconds before heading out.
・Billy Bones is incredibly touch starved but does not know it.
・Whenever you casually brush your fingers against his, or lay a hand on his arm, or stroke his neck, he automatically freezes. As if moving would make you stop.
・And yet he has learnt that grabbing your hand and reciprocating those gestures is much more fun.
・He is a jealous man. Not because he doesn't trust you but because he doesn't trust any other person.
・He always has a hand on you, or an arm around your waist or shoulder. Somehow keeping himself close - to show everyone that you're taken.
・Whenever Silver or Flint make a comment about how he “melts like butter” around you, Billy only glares and tightens his grip around your waist. They’re not wrong, though.
・Billy loves watching you sleep. He's able to let his guard down completely and lay beside you. During this time, he memorises every single detail of your face.
・Another thing, and a big thing, is that Billy is extremely proud of you! He actually brags about you more than he realises...
・He cannot believe he is with someone so intelligent, witty, and strong.
・So, if anyone dares insult you...he's already cracking his fucking knuckles before they finish talking.
・Something that Billy always has in the back of his mind is the terror of losing you. He doesn't bring it up. Doesn't even show it. But every time he wakes up alone, he is enveloped in sheer panic until he sees you.
・Billy isn't a man of many words. But his actions do the talking for him:
Pulling your coat tighter when it’s cold.
Always serving you a plate of food and drink before himself (always)
Leaning against a wall, arms crossed, just watching you with the tiniest, most private smile.
・And his kisses, gods, he kisses you like he means it. When his lips connect to yours, it's deep and slow and all-consuming. He pulls you close with one hand behind your back, and the other tangled in your hair.
・His kisses make even the most hard-hearted of pirates turn away to give you guys privacy...
・And at night, when you two are alone. No one there to bark orders or tell you what to do. You are wrapped in his arms. Like the world cannot touch you.
・In those moments, you like to trace the scars on his body, and he may stiffen at first, but then he slowly relaxes under your touch.
・Billy will always choose you, always come back, always fight for you.
