Idk if anyone else shares this sentiment but I literally melt whenever I see the scene where Georgie says "three but my brother's my best best" in response to pennybitch asking if he has any friends

Has anyone ever thought of an AU idea that at the end of IT Ch 1, Billy is so heartbroken and misses Georgie so much, he just roles with Pennywise pretending to be Georgie and Pennywise just runs with it?

It’s very much a last ditch effort on Pennywise’s part to pretend to be Georgie to either to trick Billy or pull on his feelings and hope Georgie is still alive.

But what if it had worked, that Billy decided to believe that Pennywise was actually Georgie and instead of trying to kill Billy when he let his guard down, he continued to play the role?

Be it out of want to survive or other, Pennywise takes up the identity of Georgie.  The rest of the Losers either don’t have the heart to try and have Billy stop believing/pretending that Pennywise is actually Georgie or they believe/or fooled by it as well.

Though the idea that everyone knows Pennywise isn’t actually Georgie and just keep pretending for Billy and Billy does for his own sanity would feel more interesting in the long run.

Would Pennywise change how he act, hunts, lives, sleeps, etc, or would it be temporary and end with those outside of the Losers dying still. Would Pennywise eventually kill the Losers and leave Billy alive or kill him last? I think I may just right a fic off this these thoughts, but I thought I’d share.
