Billy wasn't good at parties. Sure, he liked the attention, but, dancing and goofing off wasn't his scene. And so, once everything had swept past his threshold, he'd taken himself to one side and perched himself up upon a windowsill, leaning over to the person who'd joined him. "We're the only sane ones here, right?" He smirked, shooting them a glance before playfully looking away as he continued, "Or, are you just better at hiding it?"

"You really want to dig that up now?" Billy asked, slightly drunkenly with an over exaggerated lift of his brows. "At my party?" He let out a small whistle, trying to show off just how taken aback he was. "Bold move." He swayed slightly for a moment before leaning in, a challenging grin scribbling itself across his face. "Go on, then. Keep digging. See where it gets you."

"I was starting to think you wouldn't show." Billy said quietly. The party had dulled down now and he was tipsy enough to be keeping a poorer check on his mouth than usual. "What kept you; traffic, or second thoughts?" He slowly turned his head to look her over. "I'm glad you came. Not that I'd ever say that out loud, so don't get used to it." He crinkled his nose, smiling a little at his own luck, and self-inflicted defiance of it.

Billy slunk across the room, lingering nearby the other for a while before eventually speaking up with an overly forced air of ambivalence. "I'm surprised you're here. What, felt guilty about skipping, or just here to keep tabs on me?" He watched their reaction with a challenging grin which slowly dissipated the longer he maintained eye contact.

"You're surprisingly friendly tonight." Billy shot the other a look, wanting them to know he was suspicious of them. He didn't trust easy, especially when the good tidings felt fake or forced. It was much easier for Billy to believe he was being lied to than he was being forgiven. Especially after how most people had rejected him since he got here. "What's the angle?"

Noticing that someone was sitting alone, Billy decided to slink over, leaning over the back of the couch so that he was towering over them, the brunette tufts of his fringe dangling just above his eyes. "You know, this isn't exactly the kind of party where you get to just blend into the wallpaper." He smirked, clambering over the back of the couch with little regard. "Go on, what's on your mind?"

"Is that your first?" Billy gestured to the other's drink with a small nod of his head. "You aren't trying to catch up to me, are you?" He smirked playfully, finishing off his own with exaggerated speed before all but slamming his glass on the table to show off. "Fair warning, I don't lose."

"So, how much money do you owe someone 'cause I survived another year?" Billy shot the other a glance. There was as much playfulness as there was poison in his tone, knowing he wasn't much liked, but, knowing there was nothing he could do to change it either. "Don't lie. I know the odds are probably more in your favour for this next one, huh? If I didn't know any better, I'd think someone was trying to stop me recovering."
