Thinking that the rain may have added to the #waterfalls at #BinnaBurra I head for the hills. Shot on a #Canon6d with a Canon 16-35mm, I was also using a #Hoya #ndfilter and the very light #ManfrottoOffRoad #Tripod ... The track was wet and heavy going to more mud than I had planned on. This trip was 23.3k over 8 hours. In preparation for my 60k stroll along the #MilfordTrack #NewZealand later this year (HEHE can’t wait) I took off this morning with a mate to tackle the #CoomeraTrack #BinnaBurra ... Testing out the new #manfrottowalkingsticks and a pile of gear from @kathmandugear (Thanks Christian at Harbour Town) .... Track is rated as hard but it really isn’t. It is a solid moderate. 20k 150 stories up and down but the track is mostly smooth and clear. About 8k in you will be WOOOOWWWWWed at the first of the Coomera Falls. I mean WOWWWWW ... You really have to do this walk ... there are at least a dozen other falls along the way after the first BIG BIG BIG falls. Do the track anti-clockwise. The last 2k was tough as I had done 20k on out R gorgeous #GoldCoast beaches the day before. 5 1/2 hours and worth every step. Just stupendous. I will be back and soon. Enroute to #hike the Border Trail at #BinnaBurra this morning I was forced to do an #emergencybreaking manoeuvre and then saw these views. Or was it the other way around??? Either way I wanted to grab a few snaps. The Border Trail is only one of the wonderful #walking #trails at Binna Burra and it is only an hour’s lazy drive from the #GoldCoast #Queensland. Most trails are without rocks, not overgrown and relatively flat ... ish ... Note - if it looks like it is going to rain, all you need is a light rain coat as the canopy from the #Rainforest does a great job keeping most of a light rain from hitting the ground. The Border Track took me and a mate about 5 hours. Next time we are going to do the shorter and “prettier” Coomera trail as it is “chocker” with waterfalls.
