officially a uni student ahhhhh
hey everybody!! over the last week, I've managed to enrol, move out of my parents house and into my university accommodation, meet my flatmates as well as my lecturers. this has been a very busy and exciting week and its only just hitting me that this thing I've wanted for more than half my life is finally right here in my hands.
i officially start my course on Monday, however i haven't actually got any lectures until Wednesday morning, so here are some things i am/ will be doing in preparation.
finding recipes to meal-prep, so i don't have to find myself cooking after a long day of lectures. Pinterest has been my BEST friend for this and I've already got a couple of ideas jotted down.
I've created some note-taking templates for each of the modules I'm currently doing. this definitely isn't a requirement, but i think it'll be useful for more intense sessions. i used Microsoft one-note for this and created separate notebooks for separate modules.
trying to refresh my brain on key scientific knowledge. it sounds so silly, but ive done nearly nothing academic over the summer, so i expect that my memory has gone a bit hazy, so i think a couple of quizes will help refresh my mind a bit, and put me back in that "ready to learn" mindset
all in all, I'm really excited to start this course. all the modules seem really fun, and based on conversations I've had with people that were in their first year of the same course last year, its looking like I've signed myself up for a challenging and informative academic year ahead. i cant wait to tell you all about it :)
take care of yourselves. remember to do your best with what you have.
