guys my first time DMing went really well!! the 6yo twins loved it, though mary was definitely more into it than frances, and did a great job. i had to fudge a couple of dice rolls so that they wouldn't die, and one so that mary didn't get all the kills (she'd already killed two goblins, and frances hadn't killed one yet), but they completed the mission! and they totally sidestepped one of the NPCs i made which i'm not super upset about but he was gonna be fun to play. and they really want to play again so i gotta make another adventure for them to go on next time i babysit!
notable moments from dnd tonight:
- it took us a million years to open a fucking door
- i wanted to try licking the door and hippolyta wouldnt fuckign let me
- we played til 1 am
- miranda: “i try to be smart” puck (me): “i dont”

i rolled the most unreal stats for my new warlock last night. like i rolled 18, 17, 16, and then two 11s, and a 9. which like, the last half sounds bad, but i actually prefer playing characters who have clear strengths and weaknesses, so this is perfect for me! and bc i'm a half elf and get sweet stat bonuses, the 18, 17, and 16 became 20, 18, and 17. B)
