Hi! I loved Darius the Great, made me cry all the way through. I thought it was excellent. I have a question. Did you mean for Darius to be read as queer? I definitely read him as not-straight, which isn’t to say I saw his friendship with Sohrab as romantic (I didn’t). I’m just curious!

Thank you so much! Yeah, I did intentionally code him as queer, so I’m glad you picked up on it! (Honestly I was worried during writing that no one would get it so I’ve been very gratified by people understanding.)

Is there an update schedule for the sparrow still sings? (Which is awesome, by the way)

Right now, I’m trying to stick to an every-other-Friday sort of deal. I’ve got to perform for senior year, hold down a steady job, participate in two extracurriculars, practice for orchestra, and work on my current comic gig. I’m a busy man! But I’m determined to keep the schedule somewhat constant!! 

As always, I thank the awesome folks like yourself for the kind words that keep me motivated to work hard! And I’ll certainly have updates on my blog regarding chapter updates and their frequency should my schedule change.

trina plays the violin VERY well and mendel plays the ukulele (he’s such a little dork)!

marvin used to play the piano beautifully, but he quit his freshman year to focus on academics. he still knows a few things, but he’s not very good.
