Do you have any ideas on how to make chores like washing dishes more sensory-friendly? I’ve tried latex gloves but those feel awful too >_

with that chore specifically we have a dishwasher and it’s my brother’s job, so my advice is rather limited i’m afraid. in general with sensory chores though, try:

- breaking it up between different people, so maybe you only need to do half or you dry after someone else washes, or something similar

- off the other one, but if you can switch chores with someone. i can’t handle dirty plates and cutlery so i put away all the food and tidy the table instead. find a solution that works, there’s usually some compromise available

- do it in small bursts and let yourself recover between sessions, instead of doing it all at once and getting overwhelmed and unwilling to do it in future

- finding other ways to do it that minimize the bad sensory stuff, or use something to block out the sense. wearing ear defenders while vacuuming, gloves while doing the dishes, etc.

does anyone have any other tips? feel free to add on if you do.

Don't let the fear lead your way and don't let the anger blind you. You'll get through this. Don't trust omnic.

22. What are your three favorite things about yourself?

Hmm, it's pretty hard to come up with something, if you think about it. But let's see... I like that I'm big! Thanks to the trainings, and even, uh, war. With my height and my muscles I can help to get things from the upper shelves for those who can not reach them - for fragile grannies and most girls. Their gratitude warms my heart, and yet it’s not difficult for me to do this! Everyone's gratitude, not just girls', ahem. And sometimes I help some of men with this. Not all of them were gifted with high height, it's alright! Though they are usually a little confused by this.

Also I like that I'm... well, it seemed much easier to find these 3 things I like. Everything else are just straight facts, I can see. Also I like that I can eat almost everything! I don't think I have such "unloved food" as most people would do. When it's war, and you're starving, it's inappropriate to complain, you know?

Except coffee. I don't like it, and would love to drink it never again.

Okay, and the third one is – I can find common ground with most of the people! I like to know new people and listen to them talking about everything – often they're such an inspiration! I hope they find something interesting in me too, haha.

8. Do you like plots and threads or just asks?

//All kinds of interactions are nice to me! On the one hand, asks is an opportunity to quickly and relatively briefly express your headcanons about your character and give some interesting and unexpected facts - often in the process of answering I discover a lot for myself about Zarya!

And on the other hand, threads and stories are a great chance to reveal your character in any situation in all its glory, and for me also to show myself in writing. It gives me great pleasure to write large texts, paint every detail, select the best words and shades... I didn't write too many RP threads or stories, but, unfortunately, I feel a big (perhaps too big) responsibility for writing posts: so that the post is written without delay, so that it does not turn out as huge as it usually does; I'm constantly straighten myself, while writing, I'm trying (with difficulty for myself) to reduce it. This size is not quite suitable for threads (and for Tumblr itself), I understand, but it's difficult for me to control myself, and this... is not easy, hehe.
