A little comic inspired by a wild dream that @birdantlers had about Dende. It's not like the dragon balls alone make someone guardian of the earth...in their dream, Dende had to do some kind of evaluation, which totally makes sense to me 🤔
A few sketches I made after reading @aarmyk 's wonderful blind Izuku fic, I See You, a few weeks ago.
I fully recommend it, it's full of love and Dadmight and it made me cry.
The Best of the Streamline Pictures dub of Akira
I'm curious-- what was the one fic that made you cry?
the fic is fragment by varooooom
gen, 9.3k; 1/1 complete; izuku & bakugou, all might, inko; major character death
“Kacchan!” he cries - or tries to, but suddenly he’s suffocating all over again. It’s not the villain; he’s enjoying the new body he’s ‘hijacked’ with celebratory explosions too distant to reach Izuku’s ears. He’s just suffocating, drowning, every inch of his body gone cold with the realization that Kacchan is dead.
i think i’ve recced it before, but i’m more than happy to rec it again! it is a delicious read. i’ve read it a couple times and it’s like getting hit every time. i’m not sure what in particular about the fic made me cry—sometimes things just do, but i did the first time i read it (last april). it’s got this quiet, thoughtful quality to it; an undercurrent of grief; and it just hurts. there’s so much in this au. there’s so many directions. and personally i found the writing brilliant. i love it haha.
it’s a fic about death and grief. but also a fic about heroes.. and what happens when heroes don’t make it, and what comes after that, and i think that’s what’s really compelling.
and like you get to the end and it’s just like….. oh….. oh no.
(don’t skip the author’s note!)
Your dadmight fics gave me life so I came to your tungle for the dadmight posts too 😄
Oooooh if I remember all of them - or at least half - you got a lot of them to go through there XD
IT WAS SO GOOD RIGHT we're seeing it again Sunday we weren't planning to but we got brain rot from excitement
Total mood. That end scene with bakugo and Izuku fighting together had me LOSING IT. I want those scenes giffed SO BAD
Is Handplates finished then? :0
We’ve still got a long ways to go!
