Initially, Kris was the slightest bit pleased they’d manage to get Susie and Noelle to partner up for an assignment. It was about time, the two’s avoidance of one another was doing neither of them favors. They hadn’t considered who their own partner would be until they glanced back, noticing the rest of the class already moving their desks towards their already chosen partners.
Scanning the room, their gaze finally landed on another partnerless classmate. Great, they could feel the headache forming already. They remained at their desk, doing their best to avoid meeting the teacher or individual in question’s gaze. The last person they wanted to work with was Berdly, he’d probably spend the whole time complaining about their methods.
Alas, they were up before they knew it. Legs carrying them to the bird monster’s desk, they unceremoniously dropped their notebooks onto it. Chair having been dragged behind them, they took a seat shortly after.
