I'd say that this is the first painting that I had a clear vision of what I wanted to paint and a comfortable feeling about. There's always a bit of anxiety about painting in a semi public place (a hostel), a degree of "fuck it lets see what happens" mindset. Here I felt a bit more relaxed, more passionate for what I was painting, not to say that the others weren't exciting for me to paint, but this had a different degree to it. I was cleaning up my camera roll and stumbled across these pics of a mural I painted last summer for my day job. This project challenged me to experiment with minimizing my painting style to fit the timeline and the scale (something I hope to explore more of in the future!). Take care and stay safe friends. These times are full of uncertainty and chaos, and it’s easy to get lost in feelings of fear, despair, and jadedness. Feelings like these are natural, and it’s important to process them while experimenting with ways to adapt to these times. Everyone’s journey is different - many with less fortunate factors than others - but however way you tread your path stay strong and know that you are not alone.
