Sometimes you get to experience moments that snap you out of an extended period of acute existential dread (AED). Just as quickly as the creatively-crippling environmental catastrophes we face as human beings are realised, they can disappear with breakneck speed. Sometimes people snap out of it, sometimes they don't. Sometimes all it takes is the sight of a bird fishing on a river where his kind have fished for millions of years before. But before you snap out of it, you have to get there first. That's the hard part; finding the motivation to journey on to happiness. Which brings me to one underlying thought about that journey: -- "Beauty and grace are performed whether or not we will or sense them. The least we can do is try to be there." -- Azure Kingfisher. 🔎(Ceyx azureus). ⏳Conservation Status: Least Concern (population decreasing). 🗺Endemicity: Australia; Indonesia; Papua New Guinea. 📷 Daintree River, Queensland. -- #azurekingfisher #kingfisher #daintree #daintreeriver #wettropics #birdsofaustralia #australia #queensland #tropicalqueensland #tropics #thewettropics #birds #naturephotography #nature #wildlife #birdsofthetropics #birdphotography https://www.instagram.com/p/Bx9RwvSFcLD/?igshid=1gomgi01jw9z4
