The male satin bowerbird builds a single-tiered bower to attracts his mate. He collects objects of vibrant blue, the female lands, inspects and decides if he's a worthy candidate. Today I caught him preening his bower and shortly after this photo a female decided to poke her head in and have a look. I was WAY too excited to take a photo so this, moments before a spectacular strut/dance/display by the male is all I got.
