All jokes aside ASOUE might be the only book series that shows not only the toxicity of the “Haha im too dumb to read books” people, but also the same amount of toxicity from book reading culture. 

One refuses to better themselves and learn or try new things, as well as being proud of it. While the other may seem more appealing, completely abandons outsiders, talks down to people, and thinks way to highly of themselves for reading so many books.

They’re both snobs just in diffrent ways.

im gonna be honest, half if not more of "shadow is mischaracterized here" moments he's not mischaracterized, y'all just didn't have good shadow content since 2006 and built up a false idea of him in your heads, so once he was back in media more y'all had the time to think your brains' fanfiction version of him was real. as someone who watched like all the media in the better part of half a year i literally saw no difference and then saw people yelling about it online.

the only way art gets notes is if its funny, a reference or you have such a huge following that by basic math you'll have to get notes. it's not better for artists on other platforms, with art theft and hate for anything, along with it being harder to get visibility in most places especially at the start. compared to other sites tumblr is good for artists, but it can still be better. and at this point it's not the site, it's the people.

i dont know what happened but please reblog art. ive said it before and i certainly will have to say it again. even if its in a queue or on a sideblog, reblog it. liking doesnt do anything, reblog it. if you want an artist to keep posting art, reblog it. they're not entitled to your reblog but you aren't entitled to their art, and if you want to keep them going and support them, reblog it.

it hurts seeing a huge like to reblog ratio. it hurts seeing something you spent hours on get no visibility but a quick meme or funny post gets spread like wildfire. its like bakers spending days on a cake and people eat 20-minute amongus cookies instead because it's funny.

it rewards minimal effort. it makes effort feel like a waste of time. it makes their art feel like a waste of time. it's a terrible snowball that ive seen artists i loved fall into. one that i'm falling into.

the site is practically built for artists and it's discouraging artists. seeing an artist discouraged hurts. being a discouraged artist hurts.

support who and what you can, and actual support. if you want to go above and beyond leave something in the tags, or in the comments.

i want to see art.

and this post will get more reblogs than most art, im sure.

god its such a human domestication thing to take other animals and make them instead act like dogs or cats (mostly dogs) like for fake animals who gives a shit they're fake but no that moose isn't gonna bark and lick you hand or whatever its going to impale you and stomp on you to remind you it's a megafauna. i think that dinosaur didn't act like a kitty i think it would have avoided you at best. that being said certain fish actually like to be pet and will play chase with kids just you know in a fish way and not a puppy doggy woof woof way ya know. what am i saying

with the trailer tomorrow I do want to say, I think what we're gonna begin to see is Nintendo refusing to believe that they're loosing to Sonic in any medium, even if it's film. They're gonna try their hardest to have this movie make as much money as possible for pure ego sake. They lost a battle already and refuse to believe it. This is less a console wars 2 but with film, and more Nintendo making sure it has every trophy. Even if the movie was being made before Sonic 2020, there were clear changes to it to try to compete. The casting of celebrities was a year after Sonic 2020, which didn't seem to be in the plan before. The choice of casting their main character as a funnyman™ who got recognized via being in Parks and Rec, despite it being completely unfitting for Mario, is an interesting choice. and now the movie will be coming out a day before the release day of Sonic 2. There are clear moves to try to take a trophy from their rival not because of market strife, but for pure ego. What I believe we'll be seeing is desperation.

I also do understand the movie was pushed back due to multiple changes including a studio change, however it releasing in a year where they won't have to compete with a Sonic movie is very convenient for them as well.

Also to all the people who sent my sister actual death threats over a year ago because she said a similar thing that I just did, fuck you.

ive talked about this but no i dont want amy in the third movie actually. they're already so many characters and even more to introduce, including the dead ones. i get yall like her speech, i think she needs ot be saved so that she can get her proper time for development. too many characters at and introduced at once was an early marvel mistake (see: age of ultron, horrible movie) and it doesn't need to be rushed. give it a minute and she'll get a full movie for development and introduction
