Hey there, just wanted to pop by and say how much I love all your posts about various SWTOR NPCs and your headcanons for them! Your posts, and those of some others, have inspired me to write my own little set of headcanons for an AU that’s always been in my head

Also, if you are still accepting asks about NPCs, can I ask about Lieutenant Kieral and Captain Biron, as well as their respective Sergeants (Katcho and Ennlicher) if their paths differ?

That planetary storyline on Hoth is definitely memorable. I'm rather surprised that none of those characters appear on my massive NPC spreadsheet. We don't often meet Imperials who are reasonable and honorable on the Republic side.

I've added them to the sheet, and now i have to decide which of my Republic-side OCs encounters them, and if any of those characters are still alive.

Biron definitely seems like the type who might join the Alliance, doesn't he? Maybe Kieral, too.

My answer feels insufficient; so here's the letter i got from Kieral when i ran through Hoth with Corellan.

Biron - The Pragmatist

When the Sith Empire made plans to trap the Galactic Republic in a hopeless battle for a barren world, they didn't expect to encounter one of the largest operations of pirates in the galaxy. Known as the White Maw, they were hellbent on scavenging the ruins of the starship graveyard created by the Great Galactic War, openly hostile to both the Empire and Republic.

Eventually, mainly through the combined efforts of multiple legendary heroes of both sides, the White Maw would cease to be anything more than a minor thorn but, Biron's own efforts in dealing with the Hailstorm Brotherhood, a faction within their ranks, are not to be discounted.

Lacking the manpower himself to handle any effective assaults and cut off from resupply, he approached Lieutenant Kieral of the nearby Republic outpost in an effort to combine their operational strength and survive the harsh onslaught.

When Havoc Squad passes through Outpost Senth, they lend their assistance to the fledgling alliance, giving the forces the spearhead they need to assault the Brotherhood's headquarters and take down their leader. After a twenty-four hour truce, fighting between the two groups resumes, without Biron.

His actions discovered by Imperial Intelligence, he and his unit are quickly captured and transported somewhere secret, to be interrogated for intelligence whilst imprisoned for treason for the rest of their lives. Or, three years, as it turned out.

With the collapse of Imperial Intelligence, Biron and his unit are one of many prisoners and assets that slip through the net of the newly formed Sith Intelligence, quickly occupied by the Revanite Crisis and the Invasion of Ziost. Considering his friendship with Kieral and an offer from Havoc Squad's Major regarding defection, he cautiously begins to reach out just as the Eternal Throne begins its campaign.

Laying low on backwater planets by trading their skills for credits, Biron is one of the first recruits for the new Eternal Alliance, citing it as his chance to serve whilst getting out of the shadow of the Empire and Intelligence.
