I got Nexplanon implanted on January 27th and have had a plethora of side effects. So far, the only one that has subsided is the irritability. Now I have a dull pain in my right calf that has been persistent for 2 weeks. I didn't make the connection to this birth control until yesterday as there were a few things that could have caused it but I started to have suspicion when I realized this pain has not gone away. Every morning I wake up and it is still there. I talked to the advice nurse at my doctor's office earlier and she seemed unconcerned as my leg isn't swollen, red, or hot. I told her the Nexplanon website says to contact your doctor immediately if you have "lower leg pain that does not go away" but I wasn't able to get an appointment until St. Patrick's Day. She told me to go to the ER if my leg pain gets worse. I suppose I'll have an ultrasound done on my leg to see if there's a blood clot and I'll have the Nexplanon removed.
