For doing shoots- perhaps you could get a big mat of "wooden" laminate, or just one box of snap-together wooden flooring, and some kind of screen/board with wallpaper that could be set up together to look like a bit of a room- like this picture (from here). You could change it out every season or so, or even just change the wallpaper bit- or cover it with a curtain drape for different styles. A lot of photos use that curtain backdrop.

A note to self on adding bows to skirt waists- you could always attach them with those near-invisible plastic iron-safe snaps, so that people could take them off the waistband if they wanted to wear the blouse untucked.... and of course you could also include a hairclip with matched snaps so that they could wear it as a hair accessory instead. Versatility hooray?
