I was called selfish today.

I was called selfish today because I told someone I was bisexual.

I was called selfish today because I told someone I was bisexual and they didn’t understand how that was possible.

I was called selfish today because I told someone I was bisexual and they didn’t understand how that was possible since I’m dating a boy.

They told me that, no I was a lesbian because I obviously swing more towards girls…despite just learning I date both. (given, I do think girls are sexier)

I was told I was selfish, weird and strange because I like people. Because I’m good with dating anyone as long as they treat me right.

I was told I wasn’t a bisexual because someone didn’t understand how it worked.

This all happened in the course if ten minuets and me trying to laugh it off.

Add this on to being told that “bisexuals don’t exist” by someone who overheard the conversation.

Don’t let anyone ever tell you that bi-erasure isn’t real. It’s fucking real and it fucking sucks

do a google search on "frida kahlo georgia o'keeffe relationship" (ignoring the usual nutty letters to the ny times of the "how dare you suggest..." variety) also personally I was a research assistant to someone doing an in depth study of frida kahlo and diego rivera for a museum exhibit, after a while I came to the conclusion that kahlo + rivera had sex with whomever they met the way most people shake hands and invite you for coffee, very talented + very nice people, but wicked "intense"! ;)
