ServiceAtHome discovers Biskotti
atHome loves anything that is new, fresh and useful! A few weeks ago, we met with Simon, the man behind Biskotti and asked him 5 questions about his new concept: Biskotti.ch
Biskotti is a free newsletter and website with information on events and activities in the Geneva area. Unlike many newsletters or publications which are available to the expat community, Biskotti is published in both French and English. We wouldn't want the French speaking community to miss out on all the exciting things happening in their town
Mamma mia, why call it Biskotti?
Biskotti’s unique concept is that it provides a snapshot of what’s happening in the week. In English and French; Biskotti, like the Italian biscuit of similar name, is “bite sized” and is to be read with your coffee or tea on a Monday morning. The idea is, that you learn something new, you put something in your diary and you find something amusing.
Lets peek inside - what can we expect from the newsletter and website?
Biskotti ties in Geneva with what’s happening in the Alps and features sections such as Art & Culture, Lazy Sundays, Sports and Story of the Week. It also includes an article on the latest news from the UN and International Organisations. It also features an interesting section called What’s Hot? which focuses on new restaurant and bar openings in Geneva or what’s new in the world of culture and fashion.
Everyone always says Geneva is quiet. Apparently with Biskotti, I can discover and get out and about more. How can I keep updated?
The best way to receive our bite-sized weekly news is to sign-up for free on our website: www.biskotti.ch
We're also a social bunch, so you can join us for events as well as find us and like our facebook and twitter pages.
Last but not least, what is your favourite thing about atHome?
Its looks great, is easy to use and is a fantastic resource for everyone, especially expats. So many families arrive in Geneva and do not have the network they had back home. It's hard to find good service providers and when your network is small, it's even harder. I think www.serviceathome.com is going to be a great help for people to find trustworthy providers that speak their language. With access to great helpers, there's no excuse not to get out and discover all the wonderful things Geneva has to offer.
