But the other half of the time, it is as you saw before; it is a strong, albeit temporary, bonding between the two individuals. In truth, the real reason for the mandatory separation is that which outcome it shall be is both inconsistent and unpredictable. An introduced pair can be fine in one encounter, vicious towards each other the next, and then be fine again on the third. Or it could end in fights all three times. It is the equivalent of flipping a coin every time there is a meeting. Not even we truly know which outcome it will be until our eyes meet.
