I am genuinely confused when people say Sam isn’t as obsessed with Dean as Dean is with him. Have we watched the same show?

Season 4 alone should end this debate. Dean goes to Hell for four months, and what does Sam do? He isolates himself, works with demons, and starts drinking demon blood. And let’s not pretend that wasn’t framed like an addiction. It was written like drugs. If falling into addiction and self-destruction is considered “normal grieving,” then we need to talk. That wasn’t healthy coping. That was obsession.

He didn’t move on. He spiraled. He altered himself trying to get strong enough to pull his brother out of Hell.

And if we’re bringing up Mystery Spot — let’s really bring it up. When Dean dies for real after the loops, Sam hunts alone for six months. Alone. He becomes cold. Brutal. Single-minded.

And let’s not forget: he was ready to sacrifice Bobby. He was going to let Bobby die if it meant getting Dean back. He didn’t hesitate. That is not balanced grief. That is “nothing matters except my brother.”

Now about Season 8. The whole “Sam didn’t look for Dean” argument. Sam thought Dean was dead. Possibly in Heaven. He did not know about Purgatory. If he had known Dean was alive and in immediate danger, history has already shown us what he would have done. He would’ve burned the world down to get him back. One out-of-character arc doesn’t erase years of established behavior.

And let’s not forget Season 10 and 11. Sam literally helps unleash the Darkness — a cosmic force more dangerous than Lucifer — just to save Dean. That is not rational. That is “the universe can deal with it, I need my brother” behavior. Remember when he said " I would do it again in a second I would do it again. "

And the jealousy? Be serious. Benny wasn’t just about him being a vampire. It was about Dean accepting someone who drinks blood — when Dean rejected Sam for doing the same. That was insecurity. That was hurt. That was jealousy. He hated the idea of him, that his brother could love some one like Benney.

And here’s another thing people ignore: almost every time we get flashbacks to their childhood, it’s from Dean’s point of view. We constantly see what Dean sacrificed. We constantly hear how hard it was for Dean. And yes, he sacrificed a lot.

But what did Sam sacrifice that we never saw?

Why did he run away in Flagstaff? Is that normal behavior for a kid? No. Were they in normal circumstances? No. However, it’s a known fact that Sam loved his brother to death at that age — arguably even more than John. Dean was Sam’s hero. Something had to push him to that point.

We never actually see what happened the night he left for Stanford. We hear about the fight, but we don’t see it. We don’t get Sam’s internal monologue about growing up in that life, about feeling different, about feeling guilty for wanting out.

It was always framed around Dean’s loss.

So when people say Sam isn’t as obsessed, I honestly think it’s because we were rarely shown his perspective the same way — not because it wasn’t there.

Don't you find it strange that the four of them went to the Duck of all places? It's a bloody "Actors' bar", everybody knows that, it's the closest to the theatre, all the fans go there, especially since the door was cancelled.

And they've sat in the spot that is visible from everywhere, not some corner, and there are plenty of those.

And only one person has managed to photograph them even though the Duck is usually packed at that time?

And she's touching Sam at those photos in front of everyone, and while this person was taking photos? No way they didn't know they were being photographed.

Her sitting with Mrs Heughan doesn't prove anything because the seats were probably reserved for Sam's guests, and obviously they'd be next to each other.

And she's seating not next to Mrs Heughan but next to his uncle.

And she's at the distillery pics with Sam, not anywhere near his mother.

And she's been to the theatre many times, including wearing Sam's jacket or an identical one, where he would've known people like you would notice it?

And he's been saying he's in Ireland? He didn't have to say it during the live with sailing brothers. He wanted people to know he's there.

And she's opened her instagram with photos that are clearly identifiable as him, including his hand - the one with rings and not the other one?

So tell me, do you really think any of this is accidental? Do you think they're that stupid to not have foreseen the fandom getting a whiff of it?

What I was told was that Sam and Steph met and started mutually following each other YEARS ago, some people say as early as 2017. But it didn't turn romantic until this year. He's known her when she was married to her first husband, while she went thru her divorce, and while she went thru the sudden and tragic cancer death of her second husband. Sam and Steph seem to have started dating earlier this year, but have known each other for YEARS. And here's PROOF that Sam has been following her Instagram account since AT LEAST 2019. The reasons the pics happened unnoticed is because they were there late, almost closing time, it was pretty empty, and source was pretty stealthy when taking the pics. Fans taking pics without celebs noticing happens all the time. The source was at the right place at the right time. Simple as that.

You said that Steph sat with Sam's mom aka Mrs. Heughan and Sam's uncle because it was probably seats reserved for "Sam's guests." Yes, exactly! Doh. Sam's guests aka important people in Sam's life. What they're doing is NORMAL. Couples sharing clothes is normal. A man in love talking about visiting the place where his girlfriend lives is normal. A woman in love posting pics of her boyfriend with her daughter is normal. Keeping a relationship private and hiding a relationship are two very different things. They're not hiding anything. Why should they? They're not doing anything wrong. Please tell me how two people in love, spending time together, spending time with family and friends is abnormal or wrong? It's NOT.

As for anyone being hateful about her. Please tell me what's there to hate. Steph is: physically stunning, from all accounts, is sweet, friendly, outgoing, is talented: she sings, paints, draws, makes jewelry, models. She is intelligent: she has a Bachelor's Degree and TWO Master's Degrees. She is age appropriate, being either 35 or 36. She has interests in common with Sam, both love to ride motorcycles, hike, be outdoors, travel, among others things. She has lived life by going through two of the most painful things anyone can go through: a divorce from her daughter's father and the death of her second husband. And she is a mother to a little girl, which means she has to go thru all of it while still being a nurturer and sacrificing herself for her daughter. Experiences like that make you strong, wise, and give you emotional depth. When she visits Sam without her daughter, she obviously leaves her daughter with trusted friends or family. Like any single mom does. Again, normal. But, we've seen that Sam has spent time with Steph AND her daughter on a few occasions (see my previous posts), so this means they are integrating into each other's lives. And that's the biggest clue that this is a serious relationship. Steph wouldn't have Sam involved with his daughter if it wasn't serious. And Sam, having gone thru what he went thru with his own father leaving the family and his mother being a single mom, WOULD NOT spend time with Steph's daughter if he wasn't serious about a relationship with Steph.
