Yo, Uberchain, I know you have no real reason to care about who I am or this dumpy picture I’m dumpin’ into your inbox, but I felt like giving you a lil’ thank-you for makin’ this dumpy picture of Boston Runfastman a reality. See, I wanna be a creative person. I really enjoy making things for other people to see, and have whole stories waiting in the wings for me to hopefully fart out into the internet one day. Problem is, I’ve never been a great writer, a combination of pain-in-the-ass hand tremors and crippling laziness make drawing a no-go for the time being, and no other artforms have really caught my attention. As a result, I’ve basically just been sitting at my computer for months, day in, day out, doing nothing but lazily fucking around on 4chan and playing shitty video games. But, just last night, I saw one of your old SFM posters floating around. And for whatever reason, the thought occurred to me, “why don’t I take a stab at that”? I lack any prior experience with photography or any sort of 3D modeling software, but for whatever reason, I was suddenly struck with enthusiasm and dove right into it. After three hours of effort, I can honestly say that making this dumpy lil’ picture of a model I didn’t make, using a preexisting pose, in a featureless background, and with minimal faceposing and lighting is the most genuine fun I’ve had in weeks, maybe even months. It just feels incredible to finally have some sort of creative outlet, something to do with my time instead of fucking around on the internet, to finally pull myself outta this depressing little rut I’ve been in for months, even if it’s just by a tiny bit. And I wanted to thank you for giving me the inspiration to give it a shot. tl;dr You being a cool dude who makes cool things made me make this shitty picture of Scootybootyman being a smug prick while surrounded by a complete newbie’s first ever attempt at three-point lighting.

Yo, thank you so much for this letter, I needed it today. I do hope you keep it up, otherwise find something you really enjoy doing without damaging your hand too much.
