Tolerating the Privileged

I found myself in a late night car discussion.

Why do we tolerate the privileged and their behavior? We are discussing people specifically- that we know. 

Why do we tolerate the bitchness and insults to our interest and home life? I mean yes many people poke fun at the fact that I’m a country girl raised around farms and old plantation era homes. Yes I’m country, not ashamed of it like some people are from my area. You ask me where I am from I will tell you and give directions. So what if you find it ‘ew’ or the epitome of ignorance and redneck [they do live around my home] or poor lifestyle? That tells nothing of my intellect and interest. It’s fine, insult a way and I’ll insult back or, the proper response, ignore you by laughing it off. Fair is fair.

I find such privileged girls amusing. They are black but could easily be mistaken as biracial. Pretty girls and yes privileged. Why do I tolerate the bitchness? Well I distance myself too. Fine for an hour, not for a day. Fine for three hours of a week, not the entire week. 

Too much negative energy in my sphere that’ll set me off.
