is it possible that one of my three biggest hyperfixations over the past decade has influenced my writing???
BITCH IM THE MAN
Brilliance in the Moonlight - 97k | Wangxian | E | Complete
He turns them over in his mind. Jiang Yanli and the Jin clan heir. His father and mother. He and Wei Wuxian. What they are. What it means.
The dancing lights that materialize when they touch. The music that seems to hang in the air between them.
Their golden cores. Pairs of cultivators.
Zhiyin.
Zhiji. Zhixin. Soulmates.
Lan Wangji understands now why his sect, his uncle, had been so ashamed of it. Why they do not speak of it in the Cloud Recesses. His father’s soulmate was a woman who killed Lan sect cultivators. Jiang Yanli’s soulmate is a man who does not want her, who does not even like her.
And Lan Wangji’s soulmate is the most disruptive, undisciplined, loud-mouthed troublemaker the Cloud Recesses has ever seen.

Leikeli47 - BITM (Bitch I’m The Man)
Better In The Morning
Quinn opened her eyes at the sound of the doorbell, immediately jolted from her sleep. She reached blindly for her alarm clock on the side table. My God. Who was ringing her doorbell at seven in the morning? She wasn't expected at the office until ten today. She'd been planning on sleeping in. Again, the doorbell sounded, and Quinn sat up. "I'm coming!" she shouted, muttering under her breath afterwards as she slipped out of bed, "To wring your neck."
She trudged toward the door, looking through the peephole to find Sebastian standing there. What was he doing here? Then she recalled that he'd been here last night. He'd mentioned something about an apology and breakfast. Right. She opened the door and asked him, "Could you have come any earlier?" Her question was rhetorical of course. Still, she stepped aside to let him in. She wanted to hear his apology, and besides, breakfast smelled good.
I enjoy it when songs incorporate other parts of other songs off the same album. It helps create an album that feels cohesive. In this song’s case, the lyrics of the album’s opening track “B.I.T.M.” surface at the end of the track.
I'm downloading Bendy and the Ink Machine (chapter 1) Wish me luck, I'm probably going to need it...
