hello for no reason at all may I ask about 15. pollened 👀
oh you know.....just the edwin payne sex pollen fic but he doesn't notice because he's too busy with all that repressed lust he has going on....
“So we fix it,” Charles says. The room becomes very quiet. “Charles, you know what that means,” Niko says, carefully. “I know,” Charles is saying. Edwin swallows, and fearing he also already knows the answer says, “And what exactly is this solution?” “Well,” Niko says, thinking. “I have some manga I could show you.” Edwin, having already seen that portion of her manga collection, leans forward and puts his head in his hands. Crystal, in an attempt to be helpful while also being far too literal, says, “You have to have sex.” “Thank you, Crystal,” he hisses, voice muffled by his hands. “Yeah, but at this point, you have to specifically have sex with Charles.” Someone must give her some sort of scathing look, for the next time she speaks, it’s not directly to him. “What? I’m not going to sugar coat this.” Edwin swallows, and turns his head to look over only at Niko. “Why specifically Charles? I thought you said he wasn’t showing any symptoms—" “It’s because you’ve kissed,” Niko explains. “Which, by the way,” she holds the large book up in front of the both of them as a quasi-barricade and mouths, “Oh. My. God,” with the brightest smile on her face, then puts the book down in her lap again. “But because you’ve kissed Charles now it’s basically, like, marked him as the only one who can satiate the need the pollen is creating. Before this, it probably didn’t really have a direct target, it was just sort of living inside you amplifying anything you were feeling for anyone. Now it only wants Charles.” That, at least is something Edwin can understand.

oooh 18, 27 and 29 for the ao3 wrapped please
27. What do you listen to while writing?
i've noticed that this year i haven't actually been listening to a lot of music while i'm writing, but i have been listening to music when i'm thinking about writing. and then sometimes it turns into one song over and over again. like, for desire is so different i basically listened to Maybe This Time on repeat (because that's an edwin & crystal song. to me.) while writing the way that desire i listened to Touch by cigarettes after sex like a MILLION times. just sort of the vibe. my premade character playlists are usually my go to.
29. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year?
this is REALLY hard...but im still very partial to this bit of Calon Lân, mostly for what is said but also for a lot of what is unsaid.
“I know what you’re thinking,” Charles says from where he sits, watching. His arms crossed over his knees. “But it’s not you in there. Not anymore.” Wasn’t it, though? Edwin wonders. While it is true that Charles may very well understand what exactly he is thinking, Edwin won’t tell him that this time around that there is nothing about this experience that he thinks Charles could ever understand. Nor would he ever want him to. He tilts his head to the side as he stares down at his own skull. He wonders if Charles would entertain him if he wished to pick it up and recite a few lines from Hamlet that come to mind. Likely not, so he refrains. Yet, he thinks it to himself: I knew him, Horatio. Perhaps it was no longer him in there. But it was his flesh that once clung to those bones, his muscle and tendon that once wrapped around them, at one point or another holding up his weight, and moved his legs from side to side. His heart once beat beneath those ribs, pumping blood through his veins which spread throughout him; where his lungs had sucked in breath after breath. It was those delicate fingers that once clung to his books, flipped pages, gripped a fountain pen, flourished his words. [...] Then all that flesh had melted away, or perhaps it had been stripped of him, just as he had been stripped of the boy he was. Little by little, bit by bit, until he was neither Boy, nor Man, but something else entirely. His body had rotted while his soul was in Hell, while he was traded and eaten, and beaten, and eaten. Over and over. Over, and over and over. His bones should have teeth marks on them. “No, it isn’t me,” he says. “But they are mine.”

ooooh I am intrigued by #5 for the WIP asks
ok this is a fun one, very apt of you to choose it as well.
this is an early idea i had for the Suo Gân 'verse of having a "fic" that acts more like a collection of documents. an archive, if you will, of the sorts of things that end up in a shoe box and shoved in an attic that are later discovered/rediscovered.
i have a few sort of draft things in there, like an interview with edwin's sister edith, a draft of her obituary. i was hoping to write out a few of edwin's letters to her. there's an email from crystal writing to st. hilarion's asking about any records the school may have kept about the "St. Hilarion's Six" disappearances, etc. etc.
INTERVIEWER: What do you remember about your brother? EDITH: Oh everything. I remember the night he was born, I was five or six years old. He was rambunctious as a child, he gave our nannies a run for their money I remember that. He wasn’t a naughty boy, but he was very inquisitive. He always asked so many questions. Why this or why that—even to seemingly nonsensical things. I always found him very charming, and so did our mother. I remember visiting our summer home and we would make bouquets out of wildflowers for her. He was very small when we did that, three I think.
as per my payne family tree, molly bristow is edwin's neice (mother of betty if you've read calon lan)

💎 for the ask game!
💎 How do you feel about the first fanfiction you ever wrote and posted?
well. you see. it was essentially a self insert peter pan fanfiction that i posted on fanfic.net when i was approximately 11 years old. so.
i frankly don't remember much of what even happened and unfortunately it wasn't even captured by the wayback machine so i fear it really is gone forever </3 peter pan DID come and grow up with ME so i DID fix him<3

hello!! 🌹
anna hi!!!!
from the sequel to desire is so different bc i know you like it hehe:
Before he heads back to London with his tail between his legs, Charles drops in to see Tragic Mick, who watches him with a raised eyebrow and asks where Edwin is—“that fella of yours,” he says, specifically.
for every "🌹" received in my inbox i'll post one random sentence of a random WIP i'm currently writing
hey lucy tell us about gleead boy detectives
well SOMEBODY had a birthday and likes making me watch things, and so MAYBE i decided to make the most cursed crossover that grew a plot and became like 3k and started to turn itself into an actual story
The former Glee Club rehearsal-room-turned-equiptment-storage was marked by a strong smell of rubber and piles of hastily-moved tennis netting. Edwin perched on the end of a low bench, surrounded by almost everyone who had shown up to the auditions. In front of a large chalkboard, Ms Nocturne was addressing the students. “Welcome to the St Hillarion’s Glee Club, and may I be the first to express my hopes that through this society, you will learn the virtues of teamwork, patience, and collaborative thought. Whether you signed up because of a latent desire to perform onstage, a love of music, or something else--” “Blackmail,” was the muttered remark from Edwin’s right, and he glanced over to catch sight of Charles Rowland sitting on a comically oversized beachball and with an expression like a thundercloud. He’d wondered if he was actually going to show up, and now found himself with an overwhelming curiosity about what was really happening between him and Ms Nocturne.
...but you've read that already, haven't you?
