This week at the bank I'm going to start planning in-person meetings with a member or two from each banking group we serve--there's probably a dozen or less? We do almost all of our work exclusively through email or phone reference but dammit everything's easier when you kinda know someone. Even though we work with client's throughout the US & world, I thought we could try to touch base with the folks in Chicago for a little 'ambassador' meetings to share feedback and brainstorm & reach out to the others through email. I'm excited. For whatever reason, there hasn't been much time devoted to outreach in our group. It could be generational--I'm one of the younger team members and I'm like TEAM TEAM GOOO TEAM and group work makes sense to me. Most of our clients are around my age or younger--so it makes sense to them, too. I think it could make for more efficient & effective collaboration in research, and HEY BONUS maybe help us enjoy what we do just a little bit more, especially when we have a better sense of where our clients are coming from.
