I don’t usually follow Lolita news or Lolita BNFs, but this description of what’s wrong with Lolita replicas is also accurate for what’s wrong with BJD recasts: namely, that they’re intellectual property theft, counterfeit/bootleg, bad for the artists, bad for the secondhand market, and not acceptable in the community.

Hi hi, is there a specific tag here on tumblr I should be using about recast bjds? I'm following #bjdrecast but all I see are people talking about being anti-recast.
Almost no one uses the #bjdrecast as a positive tag. Same as other tags such as #recast or #recastbjd, are usually used by antirecast (or the so called “pro artist”) community members to hate on recast owners, so it’s better to avoid them.
We use “#recast friendly” or “#recastfriendly”. In some blogs there is even the use of #prorecast or #lovealldolls as a positive tag, but “#recast friendly”is the one that most people uses.

Hello! I was wondering if you knew of any places that might be more accepting of recasts than Tumblr is? I know that Facebook has some recast friendly groups but I really don't want to use Facebook. I'm new to the BJD hobby and I want to be able to talk to accepting and nice people when my recast arrives and I don't really feel like Tumblr has the best community for that. 😔
I can’t give you “a list” of “pro recast Tumblrs”, but you can find people with the same interests by just using Tumblr search function for “recast friendly“ or even “prorecast“.
Tumblrcan be a harsh place for the simple “recast” tag, and you might encounter many hate among it, but ignore it and move on. You can either block that person (if you see it’s insulting recasts and their owners), or choose to simply ignore it and keep on looking the tag to find friends that really worth it.
In addition you got forums like recastsanctuary, you also have prorecast facebook groups, you can also find prorecast YouTubers if you look for them. Almost all social media have a“search” function, look for “recast box opening”, or “recast friendly”, or “prorecast” and you should find people with common interests.
