I just finished reading the last five chapters of Story in the Fog, and I am legit crying. I love that fic so fuckin’ much. So sad that it’s over, but so thrilled that I get to reread it over and over again

happy thing - i had a job interview today and 2 more set up over the next week so my job search is finally going somewhere!! plus i'm almost done with the project i'm working on and will finally get paid for it so!

CONGRATULATIONS! I hope your job interview went well, and I hope that your other two end up being fantastic! AND CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR PROJECT ALMOST BEING FINISHED.

so i saw a post about your otp in a preforming arts AU and this is the type of shit I LIVE FOR, so i as a preforming arts student present to you the malec preforming arts AU:

so Magnus Bane p much has no shame whatsoever i mean why would he??he’s Magnus Bane and was basically born for the stage, so his parents noticed this energy in him and signed him up for dance classes, obviously his amazing(have you seen harry shum jr. dance?? it’s amazing) 

when Magnus is about 6 he starts to get SUPER into musicals, so his parents sign him up for theater classes and music lessons, so Magnus flourishes in all three art forms

soon enough he’s being casted as the lead in every play since elementary school

not only is he good, he’s helpful, he’ll always lend a hand to who ever is choreographing the dance scenes, or to help so and so run their lines

i mean there’s a director & everything but yeah Mangus basically carries the weight of each performance but he one hundred percent values his cast & stage crew

  Alec’s love for the arts comes slower but it’s just as strong

It starts when he’s a freshman in high school and he’s coerced to join stage crew bc Jace has a crush on this redheaded girl who paints all of the sets

So he reluctantly joins and starts off as prop manager but it’s quickly realized that his talents lie in the sound booth

Alec LOVES the booth, it’s small, it’s quiet, no one distracts him and his sole focus is to listen and watch for his cues

p soon the booth becomes Alec’s escape from his family, his future and his budding sexuality

plus Alec loves reading so he’s always reading a play & is willing to help someone run their lines (his fave play is Julius Ceasar fucking fight me)

senior year he gets offered to be stage manager and oh man is Alec in heaven???he has so much control & everything runs so smoothy bc honestly like anything less could happen with Alec running a show

anyways freshman year Alec is crossing the quad when he sees a paper on the bulletin board asking for people to help the theater departments stage crew and Alec literally visualizes his sound booth, so he signs up bc if anything it’ll be a good way to meet people right???

so he goes to the info meeting and hoLY SHIT WHO IS THAT BEAUTIFUL MAN AND WHY IS HE LOOKING AT ALEC LIKE THAT????

so turns out that’s Magnus Bane, a theater major(everyone thought he’d major in dance surprise!!) and he’s the lead of the play

after the meeting Mangus walks to Alec and says “and you are? i haven’t seen you around before and i make it my job to know everyone involved in the productions”, and Alec introduces himself not rlly believing that Mangus is talking to him like look at him

Mangus suddenly has trouble remembering his lines and the director enlists Alec to help bc he needs to memorize his loght cues anyways

so they start to spend a lot of time together, always reading through lines, at the library, in the theater

they become really good friends, Alec really likes Mangus’ soft side and Mangus is completely gone on how smart Alec is (i mean its kinda given as a criminology major but STILL)

so slowly they stop getting together to read lines and start hanging out until Mangus asks Alec to dinner super nervous and Alec says yeah wanna stop by mcdonalds later and Mangus has to clarify that it would be a date and Alec blushes and says “Oh yeah…definitely’

and they become preforming arts boyfriends!!!!!:))
