Garbh Bheinn by Clive Griffiths Via Flickr: Garbh Bheinn as seen during a spectacular inversion from near the summit of it's neighbour Bla Bheinn. The conditions seemed favourable for an inversion when I set off into the cold damp fog to climb Bla Bheinn on the Isle of Skye. I had wanted to climb this hill again as I didn't get a view the last time I was here. As I reached the upper slopes, I broke through the top of the cloud, and was treated to this view across Coire Dubh to Garbh Bheinn. The very top of Garbh Bheinn was all that was visible above the swirling sea of cloud. It's moments like this that make the effort worthwhile, and to stand alone on a summit like this with no sound and a magnificent view - well, it just doesn't get any better. Quite simply one of the best days I have had in the hills. View large!
