I suppose the Galadrigals like their mates to be BGTDs.

blinky learns what kissing is and smooches aaarrrggghhhh, but it doesn’t work very well because of their big sharp teeth. alternative scenario: blinky kisses aaarrrggghhh a lot when he’s human because he knows it’s how humans show affection

after aaarrrrggghh comes back after his brief time with the krubera post s1 ep23, blinky showers him with affection but in a sad way bc he doesn't know how much time he has left

Remember how when Blinky is first revealed as a human and Arrrgh pokes him and says 'squishy'. headcanon: Arrrgh continues to call Blinky 'squishy' as a petname even after he returns to human.

And it flustered Blinky at first but then he just gets used to it..... omg, I love these sweet troll mates.

blinky after he regains his troll form, thinking aaarrrggghhh will show him affection again, but he keeps pushing him away and blinky doesn't know why

Aarrrgh often has trouble sleeping, kept awake by memories of his previous Gum Gumm life. But listening to Blinky ramble about literally any subject, or putz around in his library, or trash talk someone else in trollmarket puts Aarrrgh at ease, and he often falls asleep while Blinky continues without immediately noticing. When he does notice he'll say "rest well, dear friend" and tuck him in with a huge blanket they took as a souvenir from the human world.
