Super Snooper and Blabbermouse Headcanons

I already put some of my headcanons for them in an ask but I'm reposting them here! Just added a whole lot more for the original cat and mouse detectives.

Snooper:

-Snooper has a love for making dramatic noir monologues. Complete with the black and white ambiance and everything. She thinks it "gets her into character more."

-Snooper has a love for slippers and comfortable shoes. She does NOT like shoes with laces because they always come undone even if he ties them super tight.

-Snooper prefers carrying backpacks or knapsacks to carry items rather than handbags. She argues that it has way more space and is easier to guard.

-Snooper prefers to wear long jackets, as well as winter and long-sleeved clothing. She gets really uncomfortable when having to wear something that shows off her fur/skin.

-Snooper is a good whistler. She can whistle the tunes of several songs and melodies without breaking a sweat.

-Ironically, Snooper does NOT like it when people hum. She finds the sound annoying and WILL tell people to stop.

-Snooper likes to collect miniature globes and mark them with places she'd love to travel to someday. She loves Toontown, really she does, but it gets boring being in the same place.

-Snooper prefers dim lighting and atmospheres. Bright lighting makes her eyes hurt, which is why she's always wearing a hat to cover her eyes.

-Snooper will ONLY allow nicknames from Blabber. And even then, she only allows 'Snoop' or 'Snoops'. She does NOT like being called 'Snoopy.'

-Snooper is trans! She realized this after changing her gender on Jellystone and realizing that she actually preferred being a girl.

Blabber:

-Like most Toons, Blabber doesn't really eat or drink anything. Or even have a guilty pleasure for a certain food. He's rather critical of those that too as in his eyes, "toons shouldn't sink to that level!" Hence he can come off as a bit of a "gatekeeper" to Toons, especially to Toons like Tom, who actually ENJOY human food and drink.

-Like how Snooper collects miniature globes, Blabber collects maps. He has a SERIES of maps and studies them extensively, marking down every single place he's seen people of interest go to.

-Blabber has a BUNCH of fake IDs. No one knows where he got them from and he isn't keen on sharing. Not even to Snooper.

-Blabber is a little insecure about his size. He's one of the tallest and largest cartoon mice in Toontown so it makes him feel a little weird when he's next to other cartoon mice like Jerry, Speedy, Pinky, and the Brain. He does take comfort in the fact that Mickey Mouse is about the same size as him.

-Unlike Snooper, Blabber is more accepting of nicknames. He'll accept Blabb, Blabbs, even Blabby. He genuinely doesn't care what people call him. A name is a name.

-Blabber here is BIG into crime shows. Documentaries, mafia, historic, if it has some type of crime in it, he'll watch it! Snooper is a little concerned about this.

-The reason Blabber's personality is different in Jellystone is because he wanted to try a more "serious" angle. His personality now is a little more laid-back and grounded compared to his previous depiction but less serious than his modern one.

-Blabber prefers paying with cash rather than card. He says it's less traceable than a credit card.

-Blabber was the one who INSISTED on the stubble for Jellystone. He thought it made him look more "mature." He soon found out that all it did was give him a feeling of itchynesss.

-Blabber is better at using detective equipment than Snooper is, on account of having actually STUDIED on which equipment is which.

Additional:

-Neither of them were very happy Tom and Jerry did a "Cat and Mouse Detective" schtick in 'The Tom and Jerry Show." They saw it as them ripping off their formula (which they are VERY protective over by the way). Blabber especially made his distaste of the Cat and Mouse Detective segment known.

-They have met the Team Chaotix Detectives from Sonic the Hedgehog before...and they do NOT like each other. Whenever their paths cross, they often compete over who the truly better "discount detectives" are...it ends with both sides losing the clues AND their villain.

-Blabber prefers writing things with dry erase marker. Snooper prefers writing things with chalk. Both like to argue over which is the more messy way to write on a board and claim that their way is "better."

-Blabber and Snooper are both absolutely HOPELESS with technology. Either their computer crashes whenever they touch it or they accidentally smash something trying to get it to work.

-Both Snooper and Blabber are good with languages. They can speak English, Spanish, Italian, French, Chinese, Japanese, and even Romanian.

-Snooper and Blabber will participate in EVERY "mystery solving" and "puzzle-cracking" event that Toontown hosts. They usually do well enough to make it to the quarterfinals but have never advanced past that.

-Both of them have nearsightedness (a flaw that went unnoticed in their model sheets) and REALLY need glasses but refuse to admit it OR wear glasses.

-Both are REALLY bad with organization. Their office and living space is an absolute MESS. Papers are cluttered everywhere and they can never tell which folder has which.

-Both have a habit of getting people's names mixed up with others. This is because they've met so many people to the point that they can't keep track of them all.

-Snooper is pansexual. Blabber is bisexual.

SUPER SNOOPER, holding an insulated mug of coffee while working on an owl-shift detective-type matter: Being a detective type, and having to rely on convenience store or bodega coffee during an all-night assignment, Blab, seems to go only so far before you recognise just how compromising detective work gets! BLABBERMOUSE: I sometimes wonder much the same thing myself, Snoop.

Why the tabloids were never meant to be trusted anyway

[Mise en scene: The office/residence of the Super Snooper Detective Agency, early morning, over Chemex-brewed coffee and cinnamon rolls. As the scene opens, Blabbermouse is reading the latest number of the National Exaggerator supermarket tabloid when he comes across a rather bizarre item--] BLABBERMOUSE, reading the headline: "Family Stunned When Satan Spontaneously Interrupts Internet Surfing!" [Commenting] Geez, Snoop, is such probably taking things a little too far? SUPER SNOOPER, taking stock: Hands me the Exaggerator, Blab, so I can take notice of it.... [Blabbermouse hands over to Super Snooper said gazetta with the story in question featured. A quick glance of same, and--] SUPER SNOOPER, somewhat irate in a way: Uh, Blab--is it likely that the, uh, "correspondents" behind this "story" may have been inspired by reading a few too many Jack Chick tracts with their lurid and paranoid "Christian" scaremongering? BLABBERMOUSE: I never thought of it in such terms as you were suggesting, Snoop--getting such "stories" from dubious channels themselves! SUPER SNOOPER: And leaves it to me, Blab, such nonsense as inspires such tabloid nonsense tends to appeal to such bereft of any rational sense of mind to know any better! And methinks those who fall for your Jack Chick tracts and your supermarket tabloids like the Exaggerator must likely be one and the same--poor, ignorant, unsophisticated and guillable!
