Black folks seeking providers who may better understand their lived experiences, cultural context, or the very real bias that exists in healthcare is not discrimination. It’s a response to generations of documented mistreatment, dismissal, and medical racism.
The same people who never seem remotely concerned about actual systemic inequities suddenly discover a passion for “equality” the minute something exists that isn’t centered around them.
Not every resource created to address disparity is oppression.
