The beauty placed third in the competition, fifth place for “True Novice” and sixth place for “Novice.” She went home with three trophies and a sense of accomplishment. This Isn’t Us

This is us really? NBC writers would like modern day black families to take a self-deprecating look at themselves in their latest episode of, This Is Us “The Pool”.  So here’s the thing, the black daughters to the supporting character Randall are sitting at the table getting their hair combed and the “mother” says to the grandfather after the so called attempt at combing her daughter’s hair for the umpteenth morning I’m sure. She says; do you want to try and make an attempt at this? (combing of the hair) Really? Then to continue to add injury to insult the father then murmurs that he has to hurry along to work to make enough money to buy hair products for the girls. Excuse me, I was unaware that it takes an entire Professional salary for coconut oil.  Enough already with the struggle jargon that makes it seem that possibly living as a black person is unpleasant.  The title of the show should be This storyline sucks.  Not only does it suck for black children but mostly for the adult writers putting nonfactual information about something that they have no idea about.  

As I continued to painfully watch "This Isn't Us" the estranged black father gets harassed, stalked, and wrongfully identified as a predator when he took a morning stroll dressed as a Yiddish Jewish man. Really?  Since when does a vest, dress slacks, and a buttoned up shirt scare white neighbors? It was my thought that driving while black was threatening and black hoodie sweatshirts on blacks were suspect.  The last time I checked white people did not walk behind black men looking for answers and let alone questions about whereabouts, It is a known fact that they don't care about us as this show clearly interprets.  The complete concept behind this story is not a fair and true depiction a suburban middle-class Black America.  More research is necessary for this show and its characters that hate their lives.  The morbidly obese white girl  with a weird food addiction is unsettling to watch for any amount of time. Let alone an hourly scripted series!

Lastly, I have better ideas for winning ratings than these guys.  The data analytics for this show should be plummeting if these depictions continue.
