{{ New York, Dingy Bad Guy Lair™ {{ Midday
Of course it was an abandoned warehouse. To be fair, those places were relatively secluded, but they started blurring together in John’s mind with how many times he’d been abducted into one. The worst was probably being stuck with that Tarasov guy, as in the actual worst. Near suffocation wasn’t up there with John’s favourite methods of dying. Thank God Marcus was a good shot...
Oh, where was he? Right. Handcuffed to a chair (as usual) and being told (threatened) that if he didn’t spill some of those juicy S.H.I.E.L.D. secrets in ten seconds, there was going to be a bullet lodged between his eyes. Trying to tell the guy that he didn’t work for them any longer seemed to have no effect earlier, other than earning him a nice beating.
John could have been anywhere else right now, like checking this guy’s name off of his list and getting back to figuring out a way to apprehend that crazy Wilson guy. Watching the merc from afar for a while really was some sort of head game, that was for sure.
“...nine, eight, seven...”
The pop of dislocating both thumbs brought a grimace to John’s face but he moved fast, swinging his chair back into one of the men standing behind him. As soon as he got his hand on a gun, it was all over. They dropped like flies, headshot after headshot (with the occasional hit to centre mass before another headshot followed). John let the empty magazine on the fifth ‘borrowed’ pistol drop loudly to the ground, sliding a full one into place.
