ironically less than a couple hours after i made the post observing the links in personality between Doc Green and the Maestro, I read the issues where Doc Green starts having dreams of becoming the Maestro and horribly murdering all other Marvel heroes before conquering the world and its deliberately ambigious whether he is ALARMED by this or not
like, he decides to grow a beard based on the Maestro’s look, which either implies he was intrigued by the idea, or he was so underwhelmed by it that his only response was ‘hey, sweet beard’.
granted that could ALSO imply that Hulk is so prone to constant and horrifying nightmares taunting him about his supposedly inevitable descent into evil that he barely reacts to them anymore.
of course, it IS clarified that he was troubled by the Maestro’s similarity to him enough that he took steps to avoid that, so that does set him on the good moral path, but this was explicitly after the Extremis was starting to wear off, possibly including the shift in his brain chemistry and outlook?
